Do I need to patent my invention?

I'd hate to break this to you but I think they put the door there for the reason that it's dangerous for it to not have one :( I'm no expert but I know the waves have a dangerous frequency, and that's even without the high temperature factor. Not by chance do microwaves come with a huge list of warnings what not to touch and what not to do... In the 60s it was even believed this machine caused male sterility and that men had to stand at a huge distance while using it. Later that was disproved but, if you ask me, they only hid the truth because otherwise people would stop buying them. So imagine if these waves really do cause sterility even through the closed door - then imagine what it'd be like without one :S
