HELP! My cat pushes things off my tables and dressers to get my attention. Any suggestions?

Get a spray bottle and fill it with water and after he pushes the things off get up and spray him with it so that way he sees he got a reaction out of you but it's not the reaction he wants so maybe he will stop.
